Effects of Salinity on Yield, Yield Components and Water Productivity of Black Carrot (Daucus Carota L.) Under Water Stress Condition

Salinity and drought are some of the main problems affecting global crop yields. In this study, interaction effects irrigation interval salinity on yield, soil salinity, other parameters black carrot were evaluated in a covered rain shelter. The treatments consist three different intervals (4 days (I1), 6 (I2), 8 (I3) with water levels (0.38 (S1), 1.5 (S2), 3.0 (S3), 5.0 (S4) 7.0 (S5) 10.0 (S6) dS m-1. results indicated that effect between was significant evapotranspiration, chlorophyll content, soluble solid content (SSC). Yield evapotranspiration decreased significantly an increase intervals. highest yield observed I1S1, response (Ky) 1.39. up to m-1 nonsignificant yield. However, by 1 caused decrease 3.83%, 2.93%, 3.03% yields I1, I2, I3, respectively. Moreover, increasing reduced juice pH value. result study is sensitive salt deficit, maximum using saline should not be more than days.
